|
South Africa has a constitutional democracy with a three tier system. Power is held by the people they are the one that elect the president and vice president. The president serves as both head of government and head of state. The South African land is divided into 9 provinces, all of which have a provincial legislature. When the Apartheid ended in 1990 the African National Congress dominated Africa. The 2009 South African election ended in Jacob Zuma and Cyril Ramaphosa at the lead of government. All these facts lead to the fact of South Africa has a Republic.
